It is non-toxic, odorless, insoluble in water, ethanol, and resistant to fluorine. It has strong adsorptivity and is mainly used for defluoridation of drinking water in high fluoride areas.
Modern water purification activated alumina has selective adsorption capacity for gas, water vapor and some liquid moisture. After the adsorption is saturated, it can be heated at about 175-315°C to remove water to restore and regenerate. Adsorption and recovery regeneration can be carried out many times. In addition to being used as a desiccant, it can also absorb the vapor of lubricating oil from polluted oxygen, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, natural gas, etc. It can also be used as a catalyst and a catalyst carrier and a chromatographic analysis carrier.

Modern water purification activated alumina has adsorption characteristics, so it is used as a desiccant for gas and liquid, an adsorbent for gas purification, a defluorinating agent for drinking water, and a color and odor elimination agent for industrial sewage.
It can be used in conjunction with a household fluoride removal tank, and it is an ideal drinking water fluoride removal device in the family. The fluorine removal filter material can also be used in conjunction with the fluoride removal device of a water plant or an industrial fluoride removal device. Activation of fluoride removal filter material for household fluoride removal device: configure aluminum sulfate solution (3 liters of water, 0.3kg solid aluminum sulfate), put alumina (AL2P3) fluoride removal filter material into the above solution, soak for 5-10 hours and discard it. Liquid (stir properly when soaking), and then wash with clean water 3-5 times, each time about 2 liters of water, or use the PH adjustment method to regenerate, the PH value is controlled at 7.5. Activated alumina fluoride removal filter media can be used continuously for 6-8 years. When the surface appears yellowish brown, the fluorine removal effect is significantly reduced. This is caused by impurity pollution in the water. Therefore, it is best to treat it with 3% dilute hydrochloric acid every six months. The operation method is the same as the regeneration method.
