High temp fire bricks used for incinerator
Waste incinerators are divided into municipal solid waste incinerators, batch incinerators, grate-type dream incinerators, waste pyrolysis gasification incinerators, fluidized bed incinerators, and rotary kiln type industrial waste incinerators, grate-type incinerator furnaces.
Refractory materials for incinerators are divided into two types: refractory bricks and castables: refractory bricks are mainly clay bricks, high alumina bricks, and silicon carbide bricks. The castables are mainly clay-based, high-alumina plastics, and clay-based, silicon carbide castables. Due to the aggressiveness of waste incinerators, the use of castables is also evolving, and the use of silicon carbide castables and phosphate-combined high-alumina castables is gradually increasing, because these two castables have good wear resistance.
The operating temperature of the waste incinerator is 1200℃-1400℃. During incineration, the gas is highly corrosive to the refractory material, and the furnace bottom, propeller, and side walls are very worn and impacted. Therefore, the choice of high-quality lining will also be constantly updated.
However, the requirements for refractory materials must have the following:
1. Use products with high strength and strong wear resistance to resist wear and strong airflow;
2. It must have acid resistance and stability to resist acid erosion;
3. Thermal shock is also an important factor that cannot be ignored;
4. It must have CO erosion to prevent the lining material from cracking;
5. Select insulation materials. According to different situations, choose light insulation materials that are more suitable for each part.
In short, most user manufacturers will choose clay bricks, high alumina bricks, SIC bricks, castables, and plastics. If it is the fluidized bed part of the fluidized bed incinerator, wear-resistant and alkali-resistant materials must be used first.
If it is a rotary incinerator, the temperature will change continuously due to the continuous rotation of the waste. It is necessary to use wear-resistant and thermal shock-resistant products first, such as clay bricks, high-alumina bricks, SIC bricks, and SIC castables.
However, most of the incinerators of other furnace types are mainly made of clay, high alumina, silicon carbide castables, and high alumina plastics.
