The quality requirements of the regenerator refractory checker brick

2022-07-07

The quality requirements of the regenerator refractory checker brick mainly include the following points:

1. In order to reduce the frictional resistance of the gas flowing in the checkered bricks and make the resistance in each regenerator consistent, so as to facilitate the mastering of the heating system, the upper and lower brick holes of the checkered bricks are required to be aligned as much as possible.

2. Keep the checkered bricks clean to avoid blockage of brick holes and reduce the cleaning times during production to improve heating efficiency.

3. The brick layer should be laid smoothly and have a good staggered width.

4. Maintain the necessary expansion joints. The gas flow space at the top of the regenerator should maintain a certain cross-sectional area according to the design to prevent eddy currents when the gas is distributed on the top of the regenerator.

According to the width of the regenerator, the laying time of the refractory checker brick can be divided into two constructions: laying at the same time as the furnace wall of the regenerator (first laying) and laying the whole furnace body after laying and cleaning (later laying), etc. method. According to construction experience, when the net width of the regenerator is less than 310 mm (such as Otto coke oven), the construction method of first laying checkered bricks should generally be adopted. This is because it is difficult to lay the lattice bricks behind the narrow regenerator.

The construction method of laying checkered bricks first has the following advantages: First, because the workers are laying checkered bricks standing on the wall of the regenerator, the operating conditions are better, and it is easy to check after laying. Therefore, it can ensure the upper and lower penetration of each lattice brick hole, and ensure that there is a good staggered seam. However, due to the addition of many processes - cleaning protection and cleaning work, the construction progress is slow, and it is difficult to ensure cleanliness.

The construction method of first laying the lattice bricks is as follows: the lattice bricks can be laid in sections, that is, according to the convenience of construction, the whole regenerator is laid in two sections, that is, the upper and lower sections are divided into upper and lower sections according to the height of the replacement rack. When the first section of the main wall is finished, all the cleaning work on the wall and the finishing of the brick joints should be completed, and the grate bricks should be cleaned. The bricks are placed on the grate footing according to the design position, and the expansion joints on the four sides and the width of the staggered joint between the lattice bricks and the grate footing are checked. The checkered bricks can be firmly placed on the grate foot table, and finally each layer of checkered bricks is laid from the central partition wall to both sides according to the design position.

During construction, the checkered bricks are placed on the backing brick board, and the hooks of the checkered bricks are inserted into the holes of the checkered bricks to put the checkered bricks into the regenerator. Then use a long wooden stick to adjust its position. When storing, it can be laid in a stepped shape from the center to the stove head, or it can be laid layer by layer. The sealing wall of the regenerator shall be masonry after the section of lattice bricks is laid.

After the first section of checkered bricks is laid, cover the checkered bricks with checkered brick protection boards so that wastes such as mortar will not fall into the checkered bricks. Then continue to build the regenerator wall, and when the top of the regenerator is laid, the second section of checkered bricks will be laid, and the second section of the sealing wall will be built.
