Alpha-Alumina powder slightly improves the rheology of the matrix; the addition of magnesia and Sialon is unfavorable to the rheology of the matrix; flake graphite makes the rheology of the matrix significantly worse. The cement content in the corundum castable is 2%. When the ratio of A12O3 micropowder/SiO2 micropowder is changed, as the proportion of SiO2 micropowder increases, the thermal shock resistance of the sample gradually increases.

The corundum castable cannot be manually mixed during mixing. It is necessary to use a forced mixer or a mortar mixer to mix the material to meet certain requirements. The water content also needs attention. The simpler method is to knead it by hand, and directly judge whether it is suitable according to the flow from the hand seam or the cracking situation.

When using corundum castables, agitators, buckets, tool shovels, etc. need to be cleaned up. Mixing in materials such as affordable and gravel will affect the effect. And the water is preferably clean tap water, less water is used when the slurry can be shaken, and a better construction effect can be achieved.
