Application of high chromium bricks


High chromium brick is a high-temperature reactive refractory material made from raw materials such as chrome ore and aluminum powder or pre-burned aluminate minerals, which are mixed, shaped and calcined at high temperature. It has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, wear resistance and excellent chemical stability. It is commonly used in applications in the following fields:


1. Metallurgical industry: High chromium bricks are widely used in the metallurgical industry, especially for the lining of high-temperature furnaces such as steel and stainless steel. It is able to withstand smelting processes at high temperatures and reactive atmospheres, and resists slag and metal corrosion, providing reliable protection and durability.


2. Chemical industry: Because high chromium bricks have excellent acid and alkali corrosion resistance, they can operate stably in acid and alkali media for a long time. Therefore, in the chemical production process, high chromium bricks are often used as linings for storage tanks, reactors, pipelines and other equipment for strong acid solutions such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and hydrogen chloride.


3. Environmental protection projects: High chromium bricks can be used in environmental protection projects such as garbage incinerators, petrochemical plant exhaust gas treatment equipment, and power plant dust removal equipment. Due to its high temperature resistance and acid and alkali resistance, it can effectively resist the erosion of corrosive gases and high-temperature flue gases, extending the service life of the equipment.


4. Glass industry: In glass kilns and FRP processing, high chromium bricks can be used as refractory components such as the kiln belly, kiln bottom, and kiln chamber. They can withstand the corrosion of high temperatures and reactive glass melts and protect kiln equipment. Not subject to erosion.
